Thiru. M. G. Ganesan has been the Deputy Director of Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation, Vandalur in the Tamil Nadu Forest Department since 12th October 2022. He received his M.Sc Agri from Govind Ballabh Pant Agricultural University and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar, Uttrakand and joined as Agriculture officer in 2009. Earlier he served as ACF in Squad and Vigilance unit at Virudhunagar circle where he had handled many marine offences. He has also served as Eco-development officer in KMTR and as DD at ATR and handled tribal issues, Man-animal conflict and tiger cub rewildling for the first time in Tamil Nadu.

Thiru. K. Ganesh Ram, Assistant Director, Project Nilgiri Tahr has been served as the Assistant Conservator of Forests and Assistant Director in Tirupur Division, Udumalpet. He graduated from VLB Janakiammal College. He started service in TamilNadu Forest Uniformed services since 1999 and has leaded many wildlife crime control activities thereby reducing wildlife offences remarkably. He was awarded by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 2018 for preventing illegal sandalwood transit. He actively takes part in numerous wildlife conservation activities like forest protection, afforestation and in creating public awareness. Contributed much for Declaration of Nanjarayan tank Bird Sanctuary in Tiruppur Forest Division. Dedicated service for Forest and Wildlife protection and Conservation by untired field inspection in all Ranges of Tiruppur Forest Division and under the leadership and guidance, major Elephant tusk and Sandal wood offence were detected, accused was arrested and remanded in Udumalpet Range. Regular inspection in all Antipoaching campsheds , wildlife census and All Scheme works and guiding Range officers and field staffs in all aspects for best outcome of all works. Excellently formed the Medicinal Tree garden in Palani Range in Kodaikanal wildlife sanctuary under 110 announcement scheme and now it look like a natural Evergreen Forest in a Palani Town.

Dr. S. Priyanka, Senior Scientist cum Research Co-ordinator, Project Nilgiri Tahr, was graduated from Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore in Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology. She pursued her Masters Degree in Applied Microbiology in CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore. She completed Doctorate at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. She worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore for 4 years in the Centre for Plant molecular Biology and Biotechnology. She also worked as a Project Scientific Assistant in National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai for 3 years, in the department of Marine Biotechnology. She is specialized in Zoology, Agriculture Microbiology, Biofertilizers and Microalgal Technology. Her research areas of interest includes Bt- cotton, Bioplastics, Sulphur Oxidising Bacteria, Plant Nematodes and Nutraceuticals like Zeaxanthin and C-Phycocyanin etc. She has published 15 Research articles  in reputed Journals like Web of Science and Scopus and SCI indexed. She also published 2 Book Chapters and has presented 10 papers in National and International Conferences. She is also a member of Society for Biotechnologists.

Dr. B. Subbaiyan, Senior Research Fellow of Project Nilgiri Tahr, is a plant taxonomist and conservationist. He Graduated in Botany from Government Arts College, Coimbatore. He completed his Masters and PhD in Botany from Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. He worked as a biologist at Anamalai Tiger Reserve from 2018-2020. He has co-authored two books and published 8 research articles in reputed scientific journals.

Mr. K. Manigandan, Senior Research Fellow of Project Nilgiri Tahr, is a Wildlife Biologist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Government Arts College, Coimbatore and Master of Science in Wildlife Biology from Government Arts College, The Nilgiris. He has studied Human Elephant Conflicts in Hosur Forest Division, Cauvery North Wildlife Sanctuary during his Master’s. He worked as a Field Officer in A Rocha India (NGO), Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore for Research and Monitoring of the Elephant Corridors. He is keen on Nature & Wildlife Conservation through Scientific Research and Conservation Education.

Mr. S. Gokul Prasath, Senior Research Fellow in the Project Nilgiri Tahr, is a zoologist. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Bharathiar University and Masters in Zoology from Madurai Kamaraj University. His research was on Arachno-faunal Diversity in and around fringe areas of Palani Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. He has been closely associated with educational and awareness activities on wildlife conservation with several reputed organizations. He is avid in exploring Lesser known species diversity of Nilgiri Tahr habitats by scientific research.

N. Rajeshkumar, Senior Research Fellow, Project Nilgiri Tahr He is from Coimbatore. He completed Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (2008 to 2011), PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore and completed Master of Science in Environmental Science (2011 to 2013) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Area of interest: Ornithology, Animal Ecology, Plant-bird interaction, Wildlife Conservation, and management. Previous Working experience He has on 10 years’ working experience in different roles and responsibilities as Naturalist, Research Fellow, Ornithologist, Conservation Biologist from different research institutions and Departments viz., Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON), Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary, Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary, Silent Valley National Park, Naturalist in Kumarakom, Lonavala, and Pench Tiger Reserve. He contributed towards wildlife research and conservation in various aspects with 3 Technical reports, 7 Research Publications in International Peer-reviewed Scientific Journals. For the conservation of Endangered Nilgiri Tahr he is presently working as Senior Research Fellow, Project Nilgiri Tahr, Coimbatore since June 1st 2023.
