NEWSLETTER LAUNCH BY PROJECT NILGIRI TAHR
A First quarterly newsletter “VARAIYADU” was launched by Project Director on June 05th 2024, as a part of Environment day programs. The Newsletter depicts the activities of Project Nilgiri Tahr and was authentically drafted to spread awareness on Nilgiri Tahr conservation. The first edition of Project Nilgiri Tahr Newsletter is a thoughtful initiative for the country’s first of its kind iconic project for the conservation of State animal of Tamil Nadu. He The Newsletter includes field observations of researchers, literature significance of Nilgiri tahr, communication and outreach activities of Project Nilgiri Tahr. The Newsletter also carries a poetry about Nilgiri Tahr in Tamil Language, which is first published about the State animal of Tamil Nadu. Also, this Newsletter was launched exclusively to educate the masses on the protection and conservational prospects of the endemic, elusive and endangered Nilgiri Tahr.
