Book fair expo - Coimbatore

  • The Book Fair Expo in Coimbatore is an annual literary event that attracts a diverse audience of book lovers, publishers, authors, and educators. Typically held at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex, it serves as a platform for showcasing a wide array of books, ranging from literature, academic, fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books. The event also hosts stalls from NGOs and organizations, thus promoting environmental awareness and conservation efforts alongside literature.

  • The 2024 edition of the expo was held from July 19th to July 28th, featuring a variety of cultural programs, author interactions, and informative stalls. Dignitaries such as Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, and V. Balakrishnan, IPS, were present at the inauguration, with several others attending throughout the event. The book fair is significant in promoting reading culture and raising awareness of social issues, making it a prominent event in Coimbatore’s cultural calendar.

  • Project Nilgiri Tahr installed an informative stall at the Bookfair expo for 10 days. The stall provided edifying displays about the conservation efforts of the Nilgiri Tahr. About 2800 people including school and college students, teachers, NGO’s and the public visited the stall and gained insights on  Nilgiri Tahr conservation.  More than 200 visitors registered as volunteers to take part in the conservation of State animal.
